Skylens was set up over 10 years ago and is run by a qualified photographer (BA hons ) to provide quality professional aerial photography and video using lightweight UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and telescopic masts . So we are more than just UAV pilots  – we have an eye for an image!

 We have been operating UAV’s for over 8 years and were the first to operate a quad-copter UAV (Microdrone) commercially in the UK and offer a professional video and photography service using our “state of the art” UAV’s

 We hold an enhanced CAA PfCO / OSC  “Permission For Commercial Operations” and the required BNUCs certification to operate SUAS (UAV’s) commercially in UK airspace.

 Our PfCO allows us to undertake nigh-flying with all our UAV systems.

​Our CAA OSC (Congested Areas Operating Safety Case)  enables us to fly up to as close as 20m to people and property “not under our control”  with our sub 7 KG machine and as close as 30m with our 7-20KG category aircraft.

 We have over 40 years combined  experience in aerial photography using full size aircraft, both fixed wing and helicopters. For shoots in London we use aircraft that have CAA permission and exemptions to operate at heights ideal for lower level views.

 We also hold Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Employers Liability insurances.
